Visit our community garden and enjoy a story as you explore. This season's story is The Plant Rescuer by Matthew Rivera.
Come visit the Dixon Library Community Garden! During operational hours Monday through Saturday, ask a library worker to unlock the gate for you. Stroll through the garden and read along to The Plant Rescuer, by Matthew Rivera. The Plant Rescuer is a charming story about a young boy learning to care for his amigo, his very first plant, with the help of his gardener-father and, of course, some books from the library.
If the season is right, there may be some fruits and vegetables for you to pick and take home from the library's community beds. Not all beds are free-pick --- a library staff person will let you know which garden beds can be harvested from.
